
Business Development Manager, Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identifies, qualifies, and drives capital opportunities for Merit Oncology technologies, such as SCOUT MD and OneMark.
• Manages and expedites the capital sales process from opportunity identification through evaluation, business case formulation, committee preparation, negotiation assistance, and closure.
• Collaborates with Account Executives while maintaining AE account ownership.
• Develops and implements regional business development strategies.
• Navigates the capital approval processes within hospitals and health systems.
• Constructs compelling business cases and financial justifications for clients.
• Engages with executive-level stakeholders across hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), and health systems.
• Coordinates product evaluations and implementation planning.
• Facilitates consensus among various internal and external stakeholders.
• Supports strategic initiatives for system-level growth.
• Maintains an in-depth understanding of Merit Oncology products.
• Prepares and presents executive-level presentations, business reviews, and financial summaries.
• Provides coaching and developmental support to Account Executives.
• Utilizes CRM and sales reporting tools to document opportunities.
• Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Strategic Accounts, and other teams.
• Achieves or surpasses assigned regional objectives.
• Represents Merit Oncology in a professional manner at customer meetings.
• Travels extensively within the designated region and nationally as required.
• Performs additional related duties as necessary.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in medical device, healthcare technology, or capital sales required.
• Demonstrated success in selling complex products to hospitals and health systems.
• Experience in navigating hospital decision-making processes.
• Proficient in building and delivering ROI models and business cases.
• Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong executive presence along with excellent communication skills.
• High level of initiative, accountability, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional presentation, negotiation, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven computer skills, including CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work outside standard business hours.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Previous experience in capital equipment, oncology, breast health, radiology, or strategic accounts is preferred.
• Multiple shifts and hours available: Days, Swing (Evening), and Nights.
