This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.
• Establish market presence by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and finalizing business partnerships.
• Promote and sell Merit products to both new and existing clients.
• Follow up with clients to ensure that delivered products align with their expectations.
• Conduct in-service presentations to explain new products and their applications.
• Foster strong client relationships and identify their requirements.
• Investigate industry trends, events, publications, announcements, and key contributors.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and finalize potential business agreements and contracts.
• Meet with clients to showcase and demonstrate Merit products and articulate their advantages.
• Identify prospective customers and introduce them to Merit products.
• Monitor client satisfaction and discover avenues for enhancement.
• Create tailored drawings for custom kits or manifolds.
• Prepare and submit pricing contracts for products.
• Recognize opportunities to boost sales volume and profitability.
• Address manufacturing or delivery issues with clients.
• Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to ensure prompt and accurate product shipments.
• Provide customer insights on product requirements and potential innovations.
• Make pricing decisions within authorized limits.
• Compile reports on sales outcomes, contacts, product modifications, and process improvements.
• Engage in sales training and strategic planning meetings.
• Stay informed about Merit and competitor products.
• Set and accomplish sales performance objectives.
• Travel via car, airplane, bus, and other means to execute sales responsibilities with clients.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a relevant Bachelor's Degree.
• At least five years of direct sales experience, ideally in medical product sales.
• Proficient communication skills and the ability to comprehend others' needs in a sales context.
• Strong personal motivation and ambition to reach both personal and professional objectives.
• Exceptional oral presentation abilities.
• Quick-thinking skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to explain solutions to medical technicians and clinicians.
• Capacity to learn medical equipment usage and identify and articulate potential usage enhancements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member.
• Proficiency in business mathematics for calculating percentages and preparing financial and sales data.
• Strong personal organizational skills, including the ability to record, report, and document work performed.
• Capability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work extended hours as necessary.
• Excellent driving history, with no accidents in the past three years or no more than one traffic violation in the last three years.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency, especially in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software programs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Skills in writing, sitting, standing, bending, visual acuity, color discrimination, depth perception, reading, and peripheral vision.
