This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Identifies, evaluates, and promotes capital opportunities for Merit Oncology technologies, such as SCOUT MD and OneMark.
• Takes ownership of and expedites the capital sales process from the identification of opportunities through evaluation, business case creation, committee preparation, negotiation assistance, and closing.
• Collaborates with Account Executives while maintaining AE account ownership, acting as a regional overlay specialist for intricate capital opportunities, executive selling, and strategic account development.
• Formulates and implements regional business development strategies alongside the RVP and regional sales team to enhance adoption, revenue growth, competitive conversion, and market share expansion.
• Navigates the capital approval processes within hospitals and health systems, including capital committees, value analysis committees, supply chain, finance, clinical leadership, administration, and executive decision-makers.
• Constructs compelling business cases and financial justifications for customers by articulating clinical, operational, workflow, and economic value into clear customer-facing narratives.
• Engages with executive-level stakeholders across hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), and health systems.
• Coordinates product evaluations and implementation strategies in collaboration with AEs, Clinical Application Specialists (CASs), Technical Implementation Managers (TIMs), Marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Facilitates consensus among various internal and external stakeholders.
• Supports strategic growth initiatives at the system level, including IDN engagement, multi-site expansion, and capital pipeline development.
• Maintains a comprehensive understanding of Merit Oncology products, competing technologies, and market trends.
• Assists in regional launch execution and prioritization of opportunities.
• Prepares and delivers presentations to executives, business reviews, financial summaries, evaluation plans, and implementation schedules.
• Provides coaching and developmental support to Account Executives concerning capital sales strategy and opportunity management.
• Utilizes CRM and sales reporting tools to document opportunities, project revenue, and communicate status to leadership.
• Works collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Strategic Accounts, Finance, Pricing, Customer Service, Implementation, and Clinical teams.
• Achieves or surpasses assigned regional objectives related to revenue, pipeline progression, and product adoption.
• Represents Merit Oncology with professionalism at customer meetings, conferences, and sales planning sessions.
• Travels extensively within the assigned region and, as necessary, on a national level.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business, life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of proven success in medical device, healthcare technology, or capital sales.
• Demonstrated experience in selling complex products to hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with navigating hospital decision-making processes.
• Proven ability to build and present ROI models and business cases.
• Capability to influence others without direct authority.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills.
• High levels of initiative, accountability, and organizational skills.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in computer skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work outside of standard business hours.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Prior experience with capital equipment, oncology, breast health, radiology, or strategic accounts is preferred.
• Multiple shifts and hours available: Days, Swing (Evening), and Nights.
