This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Continuously evaluate and analyze the evolving technology landscape, particularly focusing on monitoring solutions for industrial equipment (rotating machines and connected devices), to uncover new opportunities, trends, and innovative areas.
• Proactively seek out, engage, and cultivate relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry leaders to generate new business opportunities.
• Comprehend client needs, challenges, and industry-specific demands, and propose customized monitoring solutions utilizing emerging technologies that will yield measurable business results.
• Formulate and implement extensive business development strategies aimed at achieving revenue growth and enhancing the company’s market footprint in the emerging technology sector.
• Remain informed about competitor actions and market trends, using insights to refine the company’s offerings and business strategies as necessary.
• Monitor business development initiatives, project sales forecasts, and report performance metrics to senior management.
• Lead collaborative efforts with product management, marketing, and other relevant teams to create sales tools, such as quick reference guides and questionnaires.
• Work alongside the sales team to establish and manage targeted customer lists.
• Participate in relevant technical conferences to network with key industry influencers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• Over 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or end-user roles related to industrial equipment (rotating machines and connected devices) in online condition monitoring technologies.
• Strong grasp of monitoring technologies for industrial equipment (rotating machines and connected devices), sensor integration, and risk and health analytics.
• Experience with electrical rotating equipment and connected mechanical systems.
• Background in vibration analysis, though certification is not mandatory.
• Experience in Industrial Reliability.
• Solid background in both heavy and light industrial maintenance.
• Demonstrated success in generating new business, managing key accounts, and closing sales within a technical context.
• Ability to convey intricate technical concepts into clear, persuasive value propositions for non-technical stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, employing a consultative approach to sales.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with both technical and commercial teams.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with clients and attend industry events.
