This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Drive the specification and sales growth of Schréder's infrastructure lighting solutions within the US market.
• Oversee existing pipelines of significant lighting infrastructure projects while cultivating new opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for design-build and infrastructure modernization.
• Foster relationships with state DOTs, transportation authorities, engineering consultants, lighting designers, contractors, distributors, and sales agencies.
• Leverage technical expertise to promote the specification of lighting solutions and related lighting control systems.
• Provide support to the specification community throughout the specification process.
• Collaborate with local and global sales, technical, manufacturing, and project management resources to ensure project execution.
• Advance the US go-to-market strategy and product portfolio in conjunction with the Global Business Segment Manager – Tunnel.
• Assist contractors during the commissioning phase.
• Analyze the competitive landscape to enhance company positioning.
• Define and communicate North American product development requirements alongside business plans.
• Establish digital marketing and lead-generation strategies for the infrastructure segment.
• Create reliable revenue forecasting methods in collaboration with Finance.
• Forge industry partnerships and maintain visibility through speaking engagements and industry events.
• Keep abreast of Buy America and BABA requirements.
• Align business activities with Schréder’s vision for sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business or a technical field is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of prior experience in the outdoor lighting industry or a similar role selling technology to DOTs and transportation authorities.
• Over 10 years of relevant leadership experience in technical sales and/or business development, particularly with long and complex sales cycles.
• Established relationships with DOTs and/or the engineering consulting community are essential.
• A proven history of generating new business and sustainable revenue in infrastructure-related projects with extended sales cycles.
• Strong technical understanding of lighting and applicable industry standards.
• Experience in consultative selling.
• Exceptional skills in business planning.
• Excellent communication and motivational abilities.
• Capability to build long-term partnerships.
• Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally (30%-50%).
• Convenient access to a major airport.
