This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Spear Bio is on the lookout for exceptional Business Development Managers to showcase our cutting-edge portfolio of ultra-sensitive Immunoassays to the Life Sciences and CRO sectors across the EMEA region.
• Conduct sales presentations for clients to highlight the value proposition offered by Spear Bio.
• Exhibit a thorough understanding of market dynamics in Neuroscience and technology adoption, instilling confidence in Spear Bio customers regarding our superior, best-in-class solutions.
• Drive our kit sales by offering a range of instrument and Assay Service solutions that foster ongoing market adoption and revenue growth.
• Maintain a sales funnel that will be overseen by senior Business Development Managers.
• Take charge of all customer logistics and follow-up activities, including demos, information sharing, and other essential technical details required to engage our clientele.
• Leverage your existing network of high-level scientific customers within Big Pharma, Biotech, CROs, and Academic market segments, along with your knowledge of IVD markets such as LDTs.
• Consistently achieve a proven record of surpassing quotas, revenue goals, and expanding market share in your designated territory.
• Provide technical support to key opinion leaders across the EMEA region.
• Collaborate closely with our internal Marketing team in the US to enhance lead generation initiatives that can improve our outreach in all markets.
• Work alongside our Custom Assay Services leader to assist in building this area’s sales funnel and deliver customer feedback (VOC) to our R&D teams regarding market dynamics derived from our commercial activities.
• Develop a personalized sales plan that aligns with both personal and professional objectives, ensuring the best metrics for success in this role throughout the region.
• Regularly update on activities, forecasts, and funnel movements to promote transparency and drive strong revenue outcomes.
• Provide ongoing insights into the competitive landscape to formulate strategies that enable Spear Bio to excel in a market where we hold a significant scientific advantage.
• Expect approximately 30-40% travel for direct customer and partner engagements to meet anticipated sales results.
• MS or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related discipline, with 6-12+ years of proven experience in technical sales or business development, specifically presenting ultrasensitive immunoassays or neurology IVD products.
• A clear and proactive communicator with advanced commercial sales acumen, high energy, a strong work ethic, and a bias towards action.
• Capacity to ask insightful questions of potential customers and strategically convey how Spear Bio's unique technology and performance will benefit them compared to competitors.
• Proficiency in presenting technology solutions effectively to drive strong revenue results.
• Ability to translate observations and customer feedback into actionable strategies.
• Comfortable both giving and receiving feedback aimed at enhancing engagement and results.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a top-tier team environment that includes Field Application Scientists, Assay Services, and others.
• Willingness to travel up to 30-40% for customer interactions and industry events.
