Business Development Manager – Energy & Power

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify and cultivate new business prospects within the Energy & Power sectors, encompassing EVCI, BESS, Data Centers, renewable energy, and power grid industries.

• Discover and assess power distribution systems and projects.

• Identify potential applications for Busbar solutions.

• Educate Electrical Engineering teams to promote Busbar as a primary distribution option.

• Present technical demonstrations tailored to various vertical markets and power distribution.

• Collaborate with diverse company resources on large-scale projects.

• Partner with Marketing and Product Management to refine messaging and promotional strategies for social media and sales materials.

• Establish and maintain a robust network of industry contacts and strategic alliances.

• Represent Rittal at industry events, conferences, and customer interactions.

• Lead client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to foster enduring relationships.

• Analyze market trends and customer requirements to guide strategic choices.

• Work closely with Eplan to provide integrated solutions that enhance customer value.

• Create use cases and application examples to bolster sales initiatives.

• Act as a liaison between U.S. operations and the German headquarters to synchronize global strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally for customer visits, events, and internal meetings.

• Strong foundation in Engineering and technical Sales.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

• Familiarity with Electrical Components, Circuit Breakers, Motor Starters, Drives, and Fuseblocks.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in SAP (preferably APO PP/DS), Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and PDM/PLM systems.

• Analytical mindset combined with a collaborative spirit and adaptable approach to change.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing—ideally in the manufacturing or energy sectors.

• Strong comprehension of the manufacturing ecosystem and energy market dynamics.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.

• Knowledge of integrated solutions and technical sales in energy infrastructure.
