This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Identification, assessment, and development of new business opportunities in the German district heating and local heating market.
• Analysis of market trends, customer requirements, regulatory frameworks, and funding programs.
• Development of target customer strategies for municipal utilities, cooperatives, local suppliers, and operators of heating networks.
• Establishment of new market segments and application fields for heating solutions and technologies.
• Early engagement and qualification of potential customers, projects, and partnerships.
• Development of leads and business opportunities until handover to the traditional sales process.
• Support for sales in complex customer projects, strategic tenders, and long-term customer developments.
• Creation of customer-specific solutions in collaboration with sales, technical, product management, and other internal departments.
• Building a robust pipeline for future district heating projects.
• Management and strategic development of selected key accounts.
• Establishment and maintenance of long-term relationships with decision-makers, technical departments, and management.
• Representation of the company at conferences, industry events, trade fairs, and sector meetings.
• Development and maintenance of a network within the German district heating industry.
• Monitoring of competitive activities, market movements, and technological developments.
• Collaboration with sales, product management, engineering, marketing, service, and management.
• Incorporation of market and customer feedback into internal product and solution development.
• Support for go-to-market strategies for district heating solutions.
• Preparation of market and customer analyses, business cases, decision templates, and management reports.
• Contribution to the strategic positioning of the company in the German heating market.
• Solid understanding of the German heating market, ideally with a focus on district heating, local heating, municipal utilities, or energy supply.
• Knowledge of common heating generation and system technologies, including heat pumps, biomass, solar thermal, power-to-heat, cogeneration, peak load boilers, storage solutions, and hybrid systems.
• Experience in business development, technical sales, key account management, or strategic market development.
• Understanding of municipal decision-making processes, tenders, project developments, and investment logic in the energy sector.
• Ability to translate technical, economic, and regulatory aspects into customer-oriented solutions.
• Strong market and customer orientation.
• Strategic thinking combined with high implementation strength.
• Strong communication skills at both technical and management levels.
• Confident presence with municipal utilities, cooperatives, suppliers, and institutional decision-makers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to systematically develop new business opportunities.
