This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Perform market research to uncover trends, opportunities, and potential clients within the hyperscaler and colocation sectors.
• Evaluate competitor activities and market dynamics to guide business strategies.
• Build and sustain relationships with key decision-makers at hyperscalers and colocation providers.
• Grasp client requirements, challenges, and strategic goals to customize solutions and proposals.
• Assist existing customers with their needs and initiatives as required.
• Discover and qualify new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and outreach efforts.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to create compelling value propositions and solutions.
• Develop and present business proposals, encompassing pricing strategies, service offerings, and value propositions.
• Negotiate terms and conditions to finalize deals and ensure client satisfaction.
• Aid the sales pipeline, monitor progress, and project revenue outcomes.
• Ensure prompt follow-up and completion of deals.
• Work alongside technical, product, and support teams to guarantee smooth solution delivery.
• Provide market and customer insights to influence product development and strategic direction.
• Compile reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
• Assess performance metrics to pinpoint enhancements and refine strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the technology, data center, or colocation sectors.
• Demonstrated success in closing deals and driving revenue growth.
• Willingness to travel 30%-50% of the time as business demands.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret market data and trends.
• Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• In-depth knowledge of the hyperscalers and colocation market.
• Familiarity with data center operations, infrastructure, and technology.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
