This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Develop, strategize, and implement sales initiatives targeting strategic accounts related to watermelon and melon crops.
• Establish and nurture long-term relationships with customers in ANZ that align with the M&S strategy.
• Oversee pricing and profitability for the respective crop.
• Manage the long-term pipeline associated with the crop.
• Ensure the success of this crop through comprehensive customer account plans.
• Create customer plans, set sales targets, establish key performance indicators, and develop a crop marketing plan to support the annual budget for the crop.
• Represent the company by presenting value-based proposals tailored to the needs of key customers, fostering long-term partnerships, and driving sustainable sales.
• Oversee customer connections with retailers in the region.
• Provide insights into the market, pricing, product, growers, and consumers to aid in shaping the vision and strategic plans for the crop.
• Collaborate and network with various crop teams to comprehend crop strategy and execute marketing and business plans.
• Work with internal (global) stakeholders to assess and advocate for varietal performance and new introductions.
• Implement go-to-market strategies and policies for the coming years, focusing on commercial excellence in the region for watermelon and melon crops.
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with 5-8 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Project Management.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of the vegetable seed industry.
• Exhibit advanced consultative selling skills, encompassing negotiation and closing techniques.
• Demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and functions.
• Have robust agronomic knowledge along with project management skills.
• Strong English communication skills are essential.
• Excellent communication abilities, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills are required.
• Capability to excel in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple competing priorities.
• Marketing and product management expertise to effectively position and price varieties in the marketplace.
