This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Connect and collaborate with key stakeholders across the eastern US and Canada, including communication companies, contractors, training institutions, cable OEMs, and certification organizations.
• Attain expertise in 15-35kV cable preparation tools and techniques through hands-on experience and training provided by the Ripley team.
• Oversee your designated territory to ensure the effective, efficient, and economical utilization of time and resources to meet sales objectives.
• Actively engage with other manufacturers, including internal divisions of Hubbell, to promote the sales of Ripley Tools products to end users.
• Collaborate with HUS TMs for cross-selling opportunities and support.
• Pursue new business opportunities for sell-to, sell-through, and sell-with initiatives, including private label sales under various company brands.
• Collect customer feedback from end users to accurately assess Ripley tools against competitors and support new product development with engineering teams.
• Work with cable manufacturers to understand emerging cable types and co-create new products through Ripley Labs.
• Assess the Company's market share across various verticals and regions and devise actionable plans to enhance sales performance.
• Clearly communicate the strengths and weaknesses of competitive products to the engineering team.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Ripley products, working in conjunction with HUS/HES TM relationships to provide part numbers, pricing, and other commercial requirements.
• Formulate strategies and plans to target key opportunities using a matrix leadership approach across the organization and channel partners.
• Effectively communicate strategies, plans, and necessary actions throughout the organization to ensure alignment and accomplishment.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of products and the Company, and effectively communicate this to customers and distributors, including demonstrating the correct usage of Ripley tools.
• Build long-lasting relationships with customers, partners, and industry influencers.
• BA/BS degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in sales or business development within a related industry; familiarity with utility infrastructure markets, including wireless, outside plant, and other critical utility applications.
• Knowledge of antennas, towers, underground and aerial cables, as well as related connector solutions and suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with ERP/CRM systems.
• Proven leadership capability along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage within a matrix organization and establish professional relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute strategies for significant account business opportunities while effectively managing account presence and growth.
• Capacity to cultivate industry relationships, identify new opportunities, and develop and implement strategies that generate new business within a dynamic marketplace.
• Significant travel within North America is required, along with occasional international travel.
