This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Vice President of Strategy and Business Development serves as a key commercial and strategic leader within the Growth team, collaborating closely with the CEO and various teams in growth, product, and client services to define PAA's market positioning, competitive strategy, and value creation as we strive to transform the healthcare experience for our most vulnerable patients.
• You will be responsible for the strategic planning process, enhancing the top-of-funnel pipeline, assessing both organic and inorganic growth opportunities, and advancing promising new use cases from initial concept through pilot testing.
• In addition, you will oversee the pricing strategy for our entire portfolio.
• This role requires operating at the nexus of the executive team, product, sales, finance, and our customers, necessitating the establishment of robust relationships with senior executives at payer and health system clients.
• A qualified, late-stage pipeline will be developed across payer, health system, value-based care, and/or channel partner segments.
• Collaborate with the Clinical and Product teams to successfully transition at least one strategically prioritized new use case from opportunity assessment to validated pilot and readiness for commercialization.
• A revitalized multi-year strategic plan will be created, broken down into quarterly operating priorities for the executive team to implement.
• Maintain a pipeline of acquisition opportunities.
• 8+ years of progressive experience that includes strategy, business development, and commercial leadership, ideally encompassing both an operational role and experience in strategy consulting or investment.
• Extensive healthcare expertise, with significant exposure to at least two of the following areas: payers, health systems, ACOs, post-acute providers, or value-based care organizations.
• Proven history of successfully building and closing complex enterprise deals within the healthcare sector.
• Experience in evaluating and executing inorganic growth strategies, including partnerships, acquisitions, or investments.
• Strong executive presence, capable of capturing the attention of and gaining the trust of C-suite executives such as CFOs, CMOs, or COOs.
• Analytical proficiency: comfortable with market sizing, unit economics, pricing models, and financial analysis.
• Ability to seamlessly transition between strategic conceptualization and practical execution.
• Previous experience in management consulting or within a rapidly growing healthcare technology company is preferred.
• Familiarity with post-acute care, care transitions, or strategies for reducing readmissions is preferred.
• MBA or equivalent educational background is preferred.
• Experience in managing or significantly influencing pricing strategy for a SaaS or tech-enabled services business is preferred.
