This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
• Expand business operations within the Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) region, focusing on the NGS bioinformatics sector.
• Leverage the VarSome.com community to create new leads for VarSome Premium, VarSome Clinical, and VarSome API.
• Build and sustain productive relationships with clients and partners to ensure effective adoption of our products.
• Collaborate with the designated application scientist to grasp current and future requirements, maximizing value and driving additional business from the existing client portfolio.
• Assess competitors’ sales tactics and value propositions, offering essential feedback to the Application Science and Product teams.
• Work alongside the Product team to convert market demands into precise product specifications, shaping the product development roadmap.
• Team up with marketing and commercial departments to enhance brand positioning and execute impactful communication strategies.
• A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a quota-carrying Sales or Business Development position, ideally within the NGS, Bioinformatics, or Health-Tech industries.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or a Business-related field with a robust foundation in Biotechnology.
• Background in clinical genomics with strong knowledge of NGS workflows.
• Expertise with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and professional networking tools for managing and reporting sales pipelines.
• Comprehensive understanding of the CEE clinical landscape, including local procurement processes and regulatory trends.
• A strong sense of initiative and the ability to operate independently in a remote-first setting while consistently achieving growth objectives.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Previous experience in a bioinformatics software company is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with variant analysis and interpretation.
• Experience in regulated environments (IVDR, CLIA/CAP, or similar).
• Experience in a multicultural context and/or supporting international clients.
• Proficiency in German and/or French is considered a plus.
