
Business Development Manager – Cardiothoracic

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Develop and implement business development strategies and asset allocation for the Cardiothoracic division of the agency.
• Monitor agencies to ensure the effective execution of strategies and pinpoint areas for improvement with data-driven solutions.
• Act as a resource for agencies to enhance their growth and competence in product lines.
• Initiate and manage the launch and re-launch of Cardiothoracic products within the specified region.
• Oversee the pricing structure of products and determine qualifying discounts based on sales volume and commitment levels.
• Collaborate with local, regional, and national purchasing groups.
• Provide support to representatives in evaluating and closing deals with key customers.
• Work alongside agencies to ensure sales representatives are prepared and ready.
• Educate representatives on Cardiothoracic products and the associated sales processes.
• Relay agency focus and organizational structure to the Director of Global Cardiothoracic Business Development, Senior RM, and SVP Sales.
• Share product characteristics and limitations with product managers while suggesting enhancements to the product line.
• Gather competitive intelligence and utilize it to improve sales effectiveness and guide product development.
• Mentor and guide the Cardiothoracic team through conference calls and in-person meetings.
• Establish connections with current and prospective Key Opinion Leaders for peer engagement.
• Lead or contribute to 2–3 projects semi-annually.
• Supervise the sales performance of Cardiothoracic products, training, and related activities involving the sales team, surgeons, and accounts.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience with Cardiothoracic products is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and leadership abilities are required.
• Must be open to working with cadaver specimens.
• Familiarity with surgical orthopedics and Cardiothoracic is necessary.
• Capability to coordinate various functions to achieve intended outcomes.
• Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to identify and address customer concerns or objections effectively.
• Desired skills include strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Proficient time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills are required.
• A professional appearance and demeanor are necessary.
• Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Proficiency with PCs and various software applications as needed.
• Experience with Salesforce.com is advantageous.
• Candidates must reside near a major metropolitan airport in the western United States.
