This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, focusing on selling occupational healthcare service solutions while meeting new customer revenue targets.
• This position encompasses the entire sales process, including prospecting, conducting multi-stakeholder discovery, proposal preparation, RFP responses, negotiations, and closing complex service contracts.
• The BDM collaborates with Marketing, Implementation, and Clinical Operations to transform prospects into long-term clients for WorkCare, subsequently handing over closed accounts to the Strategic Account Executive team for continued management.
• Responsible for building and managing a sales pipeline within a designated territory, creating opportunities through outbound multi-channel (email, phone, social media) prospecting, leads from marketing, referrals, and participation in industry events.
• Develops and implements multi-threaded account strategies, engaging with stakeholders across EHS, HR, Procurement, Legal, and executive leadership.
• Identifies new sales opportunities with prospective clients and follows up on leads.
• Oversees lead and opportunity qualification, sales opportunity pipeline progression, and the proposal process, ensuring forecast accuracy and compliance with established sales stages.
• Works alongside marketing to seek new clients and opportunities in the territory, leveraging marketing campaigns, partner leads, referrals, industry events, inquiries, proactive research, and cold calls.
• Leads the formal RFP and RFI response process in collaboration with internal subject matter experts, addressing pricing, security, and compliance needs.
• Partners with sales leadership to uncover new business opportunities, including devising creative strategies to enhance services and revenue through prospect consultations and developing actionable recommendations.
• Utilizes company sales strategies and processes to meet annual quotas and company objectives, ensuring profitability.
• Cultivates strong relationships with potential clients to gain insight into their needs and challenges.
• Prepares and presents proposals, contracts, and presentations to clients.
• Negotiates commercial terms within approved pricing parameters and coordinates contract finalization with the Legal department.
• Facilitates structured account transitions to the Strategic Account Executive and Implementation teams upon closing, ensuring the continuity of relationships and commitments.
• Maintains accurate records of opportunities, activities, and forecasts within CRM; participates in weekly commits, pipeline reviews, and collaborative forecasting sessions.
• Undertakes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager to support the efficient operation of WorkCare.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
• 3-5 years of experience in the Occupational Health field, with a solid understanding of the market
• Proven experience in quota-carrying B2B sales roles, selling complex services or solutions to mid-market and enterprise organizations
• A demonstrated history of achieving quota on deals that involve multi-month sales cycles and multiple decision-makers.
