This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Achieve sales and profitability objectives by establishing dedicated distributor partnerships that enhance volume and prioritize TP-Link across various product lines.
• Partner with collaborators to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and address supply shortages.
• Spearhead channel-specific promotions and product launches.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to identify and seize channel opportunities.
• Keep track of market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activities, translating insights into actionable business strategies.
• Take ownership of revenue growth through key security and low-voltage distributors throughout the U.S.
• Cultivate relationships with buyers, category managers, and regional sales leadership.
• Implement joint business plans, promotions, and product introductions.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), forecasting sessions, and sales evaluations.
• Develop new customer bases through training and education for consultants and installers.
• Optimize deal registration, inventory availability, and quoting processes.
• Deliver product and sales training to distributor sales teams.
• Ensure alignment of distributor activities with the broader go-to-market strategy.
• 5–7+ years of experience in channel sales, distribution, or business development within networking, physical security, or similar industries.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Practical experience managing key distributors like ADI, Wesco/Anixter, KOA, Pioneer Music Company, Silmar Electronics, or other security distributors/resellers.
• A strong understanding of the B2B market and a two-tier distribution model.
• Proven closing abilities and strong communication skills across phone, writing, leadership presentations, and in distributor branches.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and possess an ownership mentality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience utilizing CRM tools to monitor KPIs, manage pipeline, and track account activities.
• Ability to quickly learn product features and convey their value to partners and end-users.
• Strong analytical skills, including the capability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Willingness to travel for onsite distributor meetings, training sessions, trade shows, and events.
