This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Candidates must reside in Florida, ideally in North Central Florida, as the territory encompasses Central Florida through the Panhandle.
• Develops a strategic territory plan aimed at creating a diversified and impactful pipeline while achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue objectives.
• Meets the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets assigned to the territory.
• Builds, maintains, and enhances knowledge to become an authority on Teaching Strategies' solutions and the competitive landscape in early childhood development.
• Responsible for managing the entire sales process; effectively balances time between prospecting, planning, presenting, negotiating, and closing.
• Accurately oversees the sales pipeline in Salesforce.com, ensuring that sales opportunities reflect the product, dollar amounts, and estimated closing dates.
• Utilizes Salesforce.com to monitor all sales activities and customer/prospect communications within the designated territory.
• Provides monthly forecasts and sales projections to the Sales Team Director.
• Maintains current relationships with customers and effectively channels customer feedback.
• Conducts online presentations and demonstrations as well as in-person meetings.
• Regularly communicates with major clients in the territory; ensures timely follow-up on all phone and email inquiries regarding potential sales opportunities.
• Represents Teaching Strategies at trade shows, conferences, and events within the territory.
• Enhances market leadership capabilities and fosters the development of long-term customer partnerships.
• Collaborates across departments to establish common goals and cross-functional initiatives in line with sales and company priorities.
• 6-8 years of sales experience specifically in early childhood education or K-12, with a focus on programs in Florida.
• Proven track record of success in selling digital, print, assessment, and professional development education solutions.
• Mastery of effective selling skills and techniques.
• Experience in conducting market analysis and managing a diverse and balanced sales pipeline.
• Understanding of educational structures and the capability to sell to multiple decision-makers at various levels.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM solution is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of the various funding sources available to customers for purchasing products, staff development, and assessments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships at the executive level.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, with seasonal variations.
• Previous experience in the education field (e.g., classroom teacher) is advantageous.
