This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Proactively seek, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within your designated territory through systematic direct prospecting and strategic outreach.
• Develop and manage engagement initiatives aimed at enterprise clients, utilizing Megaport’s existing tools, teams, and resources to enhance outreach and achieve results.
• Conduct research and analysis on customer business drivers, strategic goals, investment priorities, and decision-maker landscapes to inform account strategies and sales plans.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership and Marketing to convert market insights into actionable go-to-market strategies, aligning business models and messaging with territory opportunities.
• Partner with Solutions Architects and Marketing to design and implement targeted campaigns that directly address the needs of key verticals and accounts.
• Support sales efforts by coordinating internal resources to ensure consistent, customer-centric engagement throughout the sales cycle.
• Work with internal stakeholders to shape and validate solution designs during the pre-sales phase, ensuring proposals align with customer needs and objectives.
• Identify, onboard, and empower high-potential channel partners to expand Megaport’s reach into new accounts and markets across the DACH region.
• Cultivate strong, ongoing relationships with partners by understanding their business models, sales strategies, and customer bases.
• Serve as a trusted technical and commercial advisor — offering guidance, sharing expertise, and assisting partners in delivering value to shared customers.
• Engage in meaningful technical discussions, enabling partners to confidently present Megaport’s platform, and support them in executing complex solution designs when necessary.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of Megaport’s product portfolio, staying updated on platform capabilities and how they meet the evolving needs of customers and partners.
• Self-driven and results-oriented, with strong skills in prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
• In-depth knowledge of the Italian IT ecosystem and commercial landscape.
• Proven track record in both direct and indirect sales, preferably within 'as-a-service' or network solutions environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders on complex engagements.
• Established partner network in the DACH region with the ability to foster and maintain executive-level relationships.
• Solid understanding of data networking, cloud computing, and virtual private networking.
• Consultative selling skills with a consistent history of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
• Strong forecasting abilities and capacity to manage the sales pipeline accurately.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability and a readiness to learn swiftly.
• Comfortable working in a remote, globally distributed setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Proficient in German with business-level English skills.
