• Identify potential customers and cultivate enduring relationships with new OEM clients in the Medical, Industrial, and Automotive sectors.
• Attract long-term strategic partnerships for Kimball Electronics (KEI).
• Communicate the KE value proposition and profile effectively.
• Operate independently and remotely from Kimball Electronics facilities.
• Lead specific project or account teams without direct reports.
• Take responsibility for existing prospective accounts.
• Identify at least 2 new active accounts (prospects) each month.
• Develop 1 new approved strategy statement every other month.
• Conduct 1 new plant visit every other month.
• Complete approximately 1 new RFQ (Request for Quotation) each month.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Industrial, Medical, and/or Automotive markets within the EMS industry.
• Must possess EMS Business Development or Sales experience.
• Ability to identify potential OEM customers, assess their alignment with the company’s strategy and capabilities, and acquire new medical, industrial, and/or automotive clients.
• Proven track record of securing opportunities with new customers.
• Skills in new customer sales, communication, organization, presentations, negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and project management.
• Detail-oriented and responsive to the needs of prospective customers.
• Capability to maintain CRM data related to prospects, opportunities, and quotes.
• Ability to engage with all levels of the organization, both with prospective customers and internally at Kimball Electronics.
• Willingness and ability to travel within Europe and occasionally to the USA and Asia.
• The candidate should embody an entrepreneurial spirit with the capacity to resolve issues and offer innovative solutions.
• Technically knowledgeable with Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) experience and understanding of related manufacturing processes.
• Train employees to develop, present, and implement their ideas.
• Facilitate rather than instruct.
• Encourage improvement and innovation.
• Offer creative solutions.
