This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Identify and engage potential retail partners within specified industries and geographical areas.
• Perform outbound sales initiatives, including cold calls, email outreach, and face-to-face meetings to connect with decision-makers.
• Showcase Kafene’s value proposition and financing solutions customized to meet retailer requirements.
• Develop and implement a business development strategy aimed at achieving and surpassing sales goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align sales tactics with company goals and market dynamics.
• Build internal relationships with the account management team to ensure a smooth transition of retailers to account managers.
• Work alongside the account management team to onboard new retailers.
• Monitor and evaluate market trends, competitor actions, and customer insights.
• Offer insights and suggestions to leadership to improve product offerings and market positioning.
• Ensure that newly signed retailers receive effective transition support during their first 90 days.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to enhance messaging, promotional content, and sales tools.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B business development, specifically in an outside/field sales capacity, ideally within fintech or retail.
• Demonstrated history of consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets and generating substantial revenue growth.
• In-depth understanding of retail operations and financing solutions.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage and persuade stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Self-driven with the capability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Proficiency in CRM software, such as Salesforce.
• Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must reside within a 100-mile radius of Hartford, CT or Bridgeport, CT.
• Willingness to travel regularly to client locations and conduct field meetings.
