This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Surpass annual sales targets within the designated territory.
• Expand Hirose's customer base, sales pipeline, conversion revenue, Point-of-Sale earnings, design registrations, successful designs, customer engagement, and new account acquisitions.
• Formulate strategies and meeting agendas aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue and profitability.
• Collaborate with distributors and management to promote Hirose, assess performance metrics, build partnerships, identify opportunities, and conduct joint sales visits.
• Develop strong relationships with distributors, manufacturer representatives, key decision-makers, and customer influencers.
• Implement value-based selling tactics to secure design wins.
• Work in conjunction with customer support, engineering, product management, marketing, and sales teams.
• Design and present tailored product demonstrations.
• Evaluate opportunities with Distributor Account Managers and oversee the distributor registration process.
• Carry out quoting tasks and assist customers throughout the development and production phases.
• Prioritize and manage opportunities at both active and targeted accounts.
• Provide guidance to Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing based on customer and industry needs.
• Position Hirose as a primary supplier and cultivate executive relationships with major accounts.
• Act as the primary communication link between customers and Hirose.
• Develop and implement global strategies for international accounts.
• Adhere to Hirose's sales policies, pricing standards, and best practices.
• Foster relationships with Hirose Japan personnel and facilitate customer visits.
• Collaborate with Segment Teams and Product Management to identify product fits and target opportunities.
• Coordinate potential product-line developments with leading accounts and prospective customers.
• Assist with New Product Introduction strategies, including target accounts, promotions, samples, and pricing.
• Monitor product development against customer commitments and timelines.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and engage with industry groups and standards committees as necessary.
• Maintain precise records of customer, project, and opportunity data in Salesforce.
• Complete forecasts, reports, presentations, and organizational initiatives by set deadlines.
• Contribute to the establishment of annual sales objectives and fulfill relevant ISO9001-2008 tasks.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business or a Technical field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience in the electronic component sector is mandatory.
• Technical expertise sufficient to comprehend customer requirements and offer suitable Hirose product solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional project management abilities.
• Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, especially in cross-cultural contexts.
• Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to create PowerPoint presentations.
• Aptitude for resolving issues and escalating them promptly based on customer requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and energy.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Capability to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
