Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Africa.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the identification, positioning, and strategy formulation for securing suitable funding opportunities.

• Conduct research to identify and monitor funding opportunities from foundations, institutions, and partners.

• Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and guidelines, summarize essential requirements, and evaluate alignment with the organization's objectives.

• Cultivate relationships with donors and partners through consistent engagement.

• Assist ESA and WNA Hub personnel in establishing regional and country-specific relationships with donors and partners.

• Oversee and coordinate the grant and fee-for-service bidding process, including writing, submission, and follow-up.

• Manage the creation of complex proposals that involve collaboration among multiple teams.

• Prepare necessary interim and final reports for funding sources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in grant writing with a proven history of leading successful funding proposals ranging from $250,000 to over $1 million.

• Exceptional writing, editing, and research abilities, with a keen eye for detail and narrative skills.

• Familiarity with international development, philanthropy, and current funding trends.

• Fluency in English is mandatory.

• Professional proficiency in French is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of database management is essential.

• Experience with NeonOne is an added advantage.
