This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Position Hitachi Global Air Power as the preferred supplier for designated CAT Dealers while driving revenue growth within these accounts.
• Identify potential accounts, cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, and articulate the company's value proposition.
• Oversee supply agreements, memoranda of understanding, distributor agreements, contracts, and relevant negotiations with CAT Dealers and CAT Corporate as necessary.
• Enhance awareness and understanding of Hitachi Global Air Power’s portable product line among CAT Dealers.
• Develop and fortify strategic relationships with executive leadership, procurement, fleet management, and stakeholders in product sales/service.
• Acquire knowledge in the rental industry, including market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
• Collaborate with Area Sales Managers to establish and enhance branch relationships while coordinating sales strategies.
• Work in partnership with sales, product support, service, marketing, Channel Development, and S&OP teams to secure business, support clients, and drive aftermarket parts and service revenue growth.
• Analyze CAT Dealer accounts and prospects, prioritize sales opportunities, and coordinate strategy and planning.
• Maintain connections and relationships with CAT Dealers, acting as a CAT Dealer Account Champion within Hitachi Global Air Power.
• Initiate meetings with prospects, present products and their benefits, follow up on customer interactions, and finalize portable product sales.
• Gather and disseminate Voice of the Customer insights, product/market intelligence, competitive information, and customer feedback internally.
• Conduct regular updates for the CAT Dealer network aimed at Area Sales Managers, Channel Development, Product Management/Support, and internal stakeholders.
• Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and associations pertinent to the CAT Dealer Network.
• Maintain CRM, Microsoft Teams, and other company records regarding contacts, prospects, and activities.
• Provide frequent updates and reports to the Director of Sales R&I North America.
• Contribute to product marketing and technical sales materials.
• Collaborate with product S&OP team members to ensure product availability for customer deliveries and invoicing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• At least 10 years of progressive sales and marketing experience, including key/strategic account management or dealer/distributor sales in a B2B environment.
• Preferred experience in selling compressed air or air treatment products with a commercial/industrial application.
• Previous experience and/or substantial knowledge of construction equipment operations, encompassing sales, service, and aftermarket functions and requirements.
• Strong financial acumen, including understanding dealer/distributor profit margins, inventory management, and machine/aftermarket pricing.
• Capability to create and execute strategic initiatives across a wide geographical area and diverse customer base.
• Proven track record in developing successful sales and marketing programs and strategies.
• Ability to lead, facilitate, organize, and inspire multiple teams towards shared objectives.
• Business insight to assess and prioritize accounts and prospects based on revenue potential and other critical factors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to deliver impactful management/executive-level presentations.
• Exceptional work ethic, high integrity, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills and the discipline to maintain a robust prospect pipeline.
• Extensive knowledge of the North American compressed air and/or air treatment market.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% domestically and internationally.
• Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.
