This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Rapidly establish connections with prospective crop insurance agents in Nebraska and encourage them to partner with ProAg.
• Collaborate with existing crop insurance agents to increase the volume of their business with ProAg.
• Partner with your leadership team to identify agents that align with the company's culture, profitability, and geographic strategy to foster the most lucrative business for ProAg.
• Be prepared to travel frequently and flexibly to achieve sales objectives.
• Propel profitable growth through sales initiatives and agent-centered marketing strategies by serving as a trusted advisor.
• Identify and pursue new business prospects with fresh agents using various methods, including cold calling, networking, trade shows, and forming strategic relationships.
• Keep track of competitors, industry trends, and client insights to discern marketplace dynamics that can enhance ProAg’s strategic competitive edge.
• Conduct focused sales outreach to potential agents, nurturing long-term relationships that align with ProAg’s business goals.
• Actively collaborate with agents to provide customized solutions that meet their business requirements and promote profitable premium growth in line with ProAg’s objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing business accounts through regular on-site visits and timely resolution of client issues.
• Create and manage a database of current and prospective producers.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the crop insurance sector and ProAg’s Standard Reinsurance Agreement (SRA).
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and governmental regulations, including all relevant deadlines such as the Sales Closing Date (SCD), Acreage Reporting Date (ARD), Production Reporting Date (PRD), fund designation, and accounting cutoff.
• Monitor producer quote ratios, close ratios, renewal persistency, and loss ratios, adjusting sales strategies as necessary.
• Work collaboratively across sales, marketing, product, finance, and operations teams to synchronize go-to-market strategies and client solutions.
• Execute other relevant tasks and projects as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent education or experience.
• 6 years of relevant and progressive professional experience in sales.
• Previous experience in Crop Insurance is preferred.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, emphasizing confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
• Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working independently.
