This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, develop, and assess new business opportunities that align with GMRE's strategic growth goals within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and international defense markets.
• Cultivate customer relationships and influence acquisition opportunities prior to the release of solicitations.
• Forge strategic partnerships that enhance GMRE's position for successful capture initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Capture Management, Proposal Management, Operations, and Executive Leadership to advance opportunities through qualification and transition into capture.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across designated customer accounts.
• Monitor DoD budgets, appropriations, POM activities, acquisition forecasts, and procurement trends.
• Conduct regular customer engagements to gain insights into mission priorities.
• Represent GMRE at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and technical exchanges.
• Track competitor activities, contract awards, teaming relationships, and market positioning.
• Develop competitive intelligence materials to support future capture efforts.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition processes and federal procurement regulations.
• Strong skills in customer relationship development and networking.
• Capability to identify and qualify strategic business opportunities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Experience with CRM platforms and market research tools.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related business software.
• Flexibility to work varying hours and respond to business needs on short notice.
• Capacity to maintain a professional appearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Government Relations, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant business development experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in DoD or federal business development.
• Proven success in identifying and qualifying federal contracting opportunities.
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or government services organizations.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal acquisition processes.
• Experience with IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, OTAs, or other federal contract vehicles.
• Familiarity with GovWin, SAM.gov, FPDS, CRM systems, and market intelligence tools.
• Preferred: Shipley Business Development or Capture Training.
