This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Drive and secure new business opportunities within the protection, pensions, and platform sectors.
• Oversee and enhance an established portfolio of high-value financial services clients.
• Advocate for Defaqto’s product offerings, including Star Ratings, Service Ratings, Matrix, and Matrix 360.
• Recognize chances to upgrade current clients (for instance, transitioning from Matrix to Matrix 360).
• Utilize the annual ratings cycle to foster engagement and initiate licensing discussions.
• Establish strong, personal relationships with providers.
• Collaborate with internal teams across Fintel to identify new revenue streams.
• Participate in client meetings, industry events, and occasional visits to the London office.
• Oversee the pipeline, renewals, and sales reporting with a keen focus on achieving targets.
• Demonstrated experience in business development or sales with a proven record of acquiring new clients.
• Familiarity with protection products such as life insurance, critical illness cover, annuities, and pensions.
• Confidence in cultivating and sustaining client relationships, including face-to-face interactions.
• Proven ability to work towards and meet sales objectives.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Background in financial services or a related industry.
• Self-driven and comfortable operating in a predominantly remote, field-based environment.
• Capability to manage a pipeline while balancing new business acquisition with client retention.
• Experience in platform-based sales, SaaS, or data sales within the industry (desirable).
• Experience in account management or client success roles (desirable).
• Previous experience as a Protection Adviser or in a similar position is considered a plus (desirable).
• Understanding of the financial services provider landscape and market dynamics is beneficial (desirable).
• This position offers field-based and remote working flexibility, with approximately 3 days out of 5 spent meeting face-to-face with providers.
• Applicants must possess a legal right to work in the UK without time constraints and without the need for future sponsorship.
