This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• The Business Development Manager (BDM) – North America is tasked with fostering sustainable revenue growth for Blue Spark Energy within key operator accounts across North America.
• This role emphasizes the development and nurturing of relationships with major operators, independents, and service companies operating in regions such as the Gulf of America, Permian Basin, California, Alaska, Eagle Ford, and other selected North American basins.
• The BDM will integrate strategic account development, direct client interaction, and commercial execution to achieve significant sales growth while reinforcing Blue Spark Energy’s status as a premier provider of pulsed-power wellbore remediation technology.
• A primary goal of this position is to shift Blue Spark Energy from reactive, one-time intervention efforts to structured, repeatable well intervention and production enhancement initiatives that are incorporated into operators' well health strategies.
• This role will be based in Houston and will collaborate closely with operations, technical teams, and executive leadership to drive customer growth, enhance forecasting accuracy, and ensure long-term commercial success.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales and business development within the energy services industry.
• Direct experience in selling solutions related to well intervention, completions, production enhancement, or artificial lift markets is essential.
• Proven track record in managing complex sales processes and negotiating commercial agreements with operators and major service providers in North America.
• Strong knowledge of the North American land and offshore markets, including operational and commercial factors across key basins.
• A well-established network within Houston-based operator and service company organizations is highly preferred.
• Results-oriented with a demonstrated history of surpassing revenue targets and enhancing customer relationships.
• Strong grasp of value-based selling and production optimization strategies.
• Willingness and capability to travel throughout North America as needed.
• An enterprising self-starter who excels in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial setting.
• Proven capability to build and sustain a robust sales pipeline and convert opportunities into revenue.
• Strong commercial insight with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM systems is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
• A variable and dynamic work environment, subject to frequent changes in schedule and priorities, including short-notice activities.
• Work will primarily be conducted indoors (75%), but duties also necessitate exposure to client/customer facilities and sites, which may involve some outdoor work in varying environmental conditions and exposure to noise levels exceeding 85dBA.
• Regular air travel as necessary to develop business in targeted markets.
