Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oman.

📋 Description

• The Business Development Manager (BDM) – Oman is tasked with driving sustainable revenue growth for Blue Spark Energy throughout the Sultanate of Oman, primarily focusing on PDO, OQ, Daleel, CCED, and other significant operators and service providers active in the region.

• Formulate, implement, and adjust strategic sales plans that target Oman’s key operators and producing assets.

• Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation to technical engagement, commercial negotiation, and contract finalization.

• Create precise proposals, presentations, and commercial submissions in line with the company’s pricing and approval protocols.

• Support market-entry and growth strategies in Oman, which include framework agreements, vendor registrations, and the development of local partnerships.

• Promote the adoption of Blue Spark Energy technologies within operator well intervention, production optimization, and integrity management initiatives.

• Meet or surpass quarterly and annual revenue goals.

• Develop and sustain a strong, high-quality opportunity pipeline across Oman.

• Ensure accurate sales forecasting through disciplined usage of CRM systems and activity management.

• Recognize opportunities for repeatable multi-well campaigns and long-term intervention strategies.

• Create commercial strategies that position Blue Spark Energy as a value-driven alternative to chemical treatments, coiled tubing cleanouts, and mechanical interventions.

• Establish, nurture, and maintain trusted relationships across operator, partner, and service company organizations.

• Identify and develop strategic in-country partnerships to enhance market access, logistics capabilities, and operational support.

• Act as the primary commercial contact for Oman-based opportunities and accounts.

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities within Oman’s oil and gas sector.

• Develop and maintain strong market intelligence, including competitor activities, intervention methods, pricing trends, and operator priorities.

• Assist in the creation of local case studies and technical materials to expedite market acceptance.

• Represent Blue Spark Energy at industry conferences, technical forums, and client meetings in the region.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in international sales and business development within the energy services sector, covering both offshore and land operations.

• Direct experience in selling solutions related to well intervention, production enhancement, or completions is essential.

• Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and negotiating high-value contracts with NOCs, IOCs, and major service companies in the Middle East.

• A strong understanding of the Oman oil and gas market, particularly PDO’s commercial and operational frameworks, is highly preferred.

• An established network within Oman’s operator and service company community is greatly desirable.

• Results-oriented, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and expanding market share.

• Experience collaborating with local partners, agents, and vendor registration processes within the GCC region.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Oman and the broader Middle East as necessary.

• An enterprising self-starter who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a robust sales funnel and convert opportunities into revenue.

• Strong commercial acumen paired with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• A persuasive communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at technical, operational, and executive levels.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic would be considered an asset.
