This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Identify, qualify, and cultivate new manufacturing opportunities within DoD and DoE β conducting a structured discovery sprint to establish and maintain a dynamic pipeline of over 20 target facilities, supported by a product-led prototype-to-pilot initiative.
β’ Collaborate with program managers, operations directors, facility leaders, and contracting officers early in the acquisition process β shaping requirements and positioning our services prior to formal solicitation.
β’ Manage the business development relationship with our current defense clientele β driving upsell opportunities, expansion, and achieving over 110% net retention across Tier 1 accounts.
β’ Implement the capture playbook in the field: target appropriate facilities, present compelling value propositions, and coordinate with the Capture Manager on a defined winning strategy.
β’ Strategically map and utilize contract vehicles β including GSA, IDIQ/BPA, and VOSB/SDVOSB/WOSB/8(a) set-aside lanes β to align each opportunity with the suitable acquisition pathway.
β’ Leverage partnerships as a credentialing asset to gain access to program offices and stand out in competitive scenarios.
β’ Relay field intelligence back to leadership: share insights on what resonates, what doesn't, and areas for improvement β ensuring the ICP and messaging remain relevant.
β’ A minimum of 7 years of experience in federal business development or account management within DoD or DoE, with direct involvement in manufacturing, depot operations, MRO, or defense industrial base environments.
β’ Strong familiarity with the facilities; proven ability to establish relationships quickly across DoD/DoE manufacturing, depot, arsenal, and R&D sites.
β’ Proficient in federal acquisition processes: FAR/DFARS, IDIQ/BPA structures, GSA schedules, and set-aside vehicles. Understand how these facilities procure goods and services.
β’ Sufficient technical expertise to engage operations leaders effectively regarding digital work execution, asset/calibration management, equipment reliability, and air-gapped manufacturing constraints.
β’ A proactive approach to pipeline development: capable of building from the ground up, rigorously qualifying opportunities, and discerning genuine prospects from irrelevant noise.
β’ Experience working collaboratively with capture teams on winning strategies, competitive assessments, team structures, and proposals.
β’ Preferred: Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI clearance is a plus. U.S. citizenship is required.
β’ Comfortable working in a rapidly growing, mission-focused environment where processes are being developed rather than inherited.
β’ Compensation will be aligned with experience and is anticipated to range from $150K base salary, with on-target earnings of $295K.
β’ A comprehensive benefits package is provided, which includes medical, vision, dental, 401(k), and additional perks.
