This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assume complete responsibility for business development initiatives throughout Germany and Austria.
• Create and implement effective sales strategies that yield measurable growth and expand our regional presence.
• Identify, assess, and secure new business opportunities — from initial contact to contract execution.
• Cultivate strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and related sectors.
• Convert client requirements into customized PSS service solutions that provide value and enhance long-term partnerships.
• Oversee proposal creation, commercial negotiations, and contracting processes with assistance from senior management.
• Work closely with Key Account Managers, site leaders, and global teams to optimize cross-selling and strategic alignment.
• Deliver precise sales forecasts, ensure pipeline visibility, and maintain CRM-compliant reporting.
• Represent Eurofins PSS at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance our brand visibility.
• Promote continuous improvement by recognizing new service opportunities and market trends.
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or an equivalent business/vocational qualification; additional training in business or finance is advantageous.
• At least 3 years of experience in business development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or GxP-regulated sectors.
• Demonstrated success in selling complex service solutions to senior decision-makers.
• Experience with insourcing, outsourcing, managed services, or laboratory services is highly desirable.
• Strong comprehension of product commercialization, manufacturing, supply chain processes, and their associated testing/service requirements.
• Excellent proficiency in both German and English communication.
• Capacity to influence across various functions, collaborate across different sites, and establish robust internal and external networks.
• Credibility and confidence in engaging with senior leadership.
• A strategic mindset coupled with a proactive commercial approach.
• High energy, resilience, and a passion for entering new markets and acquiring new clients.
