This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Collaborate with Delivery Business Units to create and oversee 3-year business development strategies aimed at fostering managed and intentional growth.
• Lead the design of solutions that support growth initiatives within the Energy Solutions portfolio, including shaping opportunities ahead of RFP announcements.
• Develop, manage, and enhance a pipeline of new and expansion opportunities through market cultivation and industry networking.
• Identify and summarize market opportunities, emerging client needs, and solution gaps to inform pursuit planning and go-to-market approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and align solution components early—prior to RFP issuance—when feasible.
• Maintain and oversee the pipeline and forecasts for the assigned business unit using Salesforce, ERP, and internal dashboards and reporting tools.
• Assist in the development of proposals for a high volume of assigned pursuits, ensuring that submissions are competitive, compliant, and distinctive.
• Ensure that the sales strategy and win themes established in earlier phases of opportunity development are consistently reflected in the proposal.
• Confirm that solution designs meet client objectives, regulatory standards, delivery capabilities, and financial goals for each Business Unit.
• Provide guidance and coaching to delivery team personnel on proposal budgets and business development processes, including pursuit planning, development timelines, and quality standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience, showcasing a consistent impact in complex business development or consulting settings.
• Advanced experience in leading solution strategies and/or supporting intricate sales efforts in regulated or utility-focused markets, including pre-RFP opportunity shaping and pursuit leadership.
• Extensive experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Policy, Engineering, Marketing, IT, and Delivery teams to align solution design, pricing strategy, and execution feasibility.
• Advanced ability in leading solution strategies or supporting a significant volume of sales initiatives in regulated or utility-focused markets, including shaping offerings and influencing pursuit direction.
• Deep functional knowledge of energy efficiency programs, utility procurement processes, and market dynamics, with the capacity to apply this expertise to complex, high-impact opportunities.
• Proven ability to influence pipeline development and pursuit strategy through analysis, recommendations, and cross-functional alignment (without final decision authority).
• Advanced financial and strategic thinking skills, including pricing strategy development, budget tradeoff analysis, and assessment of risk, value, and delivery considerations.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing and nurturing industry and client relationships that contribute to pipeline growth and repeat/expansion work.
