This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the electrification of aviation by identifying and leading cross-functional initiatives for funding opportunities.
• Perform thorough market analysis to pinpoint prospective customers, partners, and emerging trends in electric aircraft charging and ground support equipment.
• Evaluate market conditions, competitive environments, and regulatory influences to guide business strategies.
• Collaborate in defining and refining business development strategies and objectives for electric aircraft charging and ground support solutions.
• Create and implement detailed business plans to meet revenue and growth objectives.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients, including aircraft operators, airports, Fixed Base Operators (FBOs), and aircraft manufacturers.
• Gain insights into customer needs to guide new product development initiatives.
• Coordinate project approvals with all relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to enhancing the engagement process for charging systems.
• Conduct cold calls to potential host sites.
• Identify, develop, and forge strategic partnerships and collaborations with key industry players.
• Utilize partnerships to bolster BETA's visibility and capabilities within the electric aviation sector.
• Lead sales efforts, encompassing prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
• Provide insights for pricing strategies.
• Monitor and manage opportunities in Salesforce to ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting.
• Remain informed about industry regulations and standards pertaining to electric aircraft charging.
• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or partnership management within the aerospace, EV charging, renewable energy, or similar technical fields.
• Proficient in using Salesforce (or similar CRM) for tracking opportunities, managing pipelines, and reporting sales activity.
• Knowledge of technical proposals, RFP responses, or documentation related to infrastructure projects.
• Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel over 50% to fulfill business requirements throughout the Southeast region.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Understanding of aviation infrastructure, airport operations, or ground support equipment.
• Experience collaborating directly with Fixed Base Operators (FBOs), airports, or aviation service providers.
