This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• This in-person position focuses on generating new business by increasing revenue, transactions, and sales growth with new accounts, agents, and customers primarily in California.
• Oversee the full sales cycle, which includes lead generation, opportunity qualification, presenting the value proposition, contract signing, training, merchandising, and providing support to the account during the initial months of the partnership.
• Facilitate a seamless transition of the agent or account to the Account Development Sales Team.
• Assess the territory for high-potential retail outlets, pinpointing opportunities with the greatest potential.
• Concentrate on independently owned micro businesses across various sectors such as grocery stores, check cashers, multi-service stores, and convenience stores.
• Assist new accounts during the onboarding phase, which involves document collection, agent training, and hardware and software setup.
• Develop and sustain a robust pipeline of high-quality agent locations based on market insights and territory evaluations.
• Create and evaluate reports to forecast opportunities and risks throughout the ramp-up phase.
• Promote the complete range of Western Union brands and services, with a particular emphasis on Money Transfer.
• Secure structured agreements and capture competitor business to enhance market presence.
• Manage ongoing network relationships with an emphasis on business and operational support to ensure continuity and growth across all network channels.
• Propel new business development by actively prospecting, cultivating, and finalizing new customer opportunities, establishing strategic relationships, and implementing account acquisition strategies that yield additional revenue and broaden market share.
• 70% travel is anticipated.
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the Money Transfer sector.
• Proven ability to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, consultative selling, and disciplined pipeline management.
• A documented history of achieving or surpassing sales quotas.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• A valid Driver’s License and a dependable vehicle are required due to the regular travel involved within a designated territory.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
