This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take the lead and assume full responsibility for prospecting, building a sales pipeline, developing new business, and expanding ongoing business, including cross-selling and upselling within the designated territory.
• Ensure accurate CRM data management to track, manage, and forecast opportunities effectively.
• Efficiently transition newly developed or expanded business to implementation teams following established procedures.
• Coordinate resources and personnel to meet or exceed targets related to market penetration, revenue, margins, client satisfaction, product and client diversification, and compliance standards.
• Monitor and report on pipelines, success rates, costs, and financial performance in relation to business development activities.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products, services, infrastructure, and operational processes.
• Represent Inovalon at industry conferences, business development meetings, direct marketing outreach, and face-to-face sales meetings with prospective clients.
• Develop extensive market insight through research on existing and potential clients, focusing on their needs, solutions, history, key personnel, and decision-making criteria.
• Engage in strategic development initiatives aimed at enhancing products, services, operations, client appeal, process flow, reputation, and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, confidentiality obligations, HIPAA regulations, quality standards, accreditation, delegation, and contractual commitments.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as reasonably assigned to support operational and financial success.
• Maintain separation-of-duties responsibilities for relevant processes and procedures.
• No technology on-call responsibilities are required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in arts/sciences (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 12 years of sales experience is necessary.
• Demonstrated success in establishing and managing relationships with Directors, VPs, and C-Suite executives within healthcare organizations, including delivering presentations to senior leadership.
• Extensive project management experience across multidisciplinary teams in a role that influences outcomes.
• Familiarity with or knowledge of the healthcare sector, particularly health plans.
• Ability to navigate complex consultative sales processes, including lead generation, proposal development, oral presentations, and contract negotiations.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to rigorous documentation practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be willing to travel regularly to client locations and/or conferences across the nation.
• Authorization to work in the United States is mandatory; this position does not qualify for immigration sponsorship.
