This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Identify, assess, and pursue program-level opportunities with the U.S. Department of Defense and allied military forces, focusing on clothing, apparel, and soldier-worn equipment initiatives.
• Formulate and implement capture strategies for Programs of Record, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts, framework agreements, and multi-year contracts.
• Influence requirements early by collaborating with end users, program offices, and acquisition stakeholders, especially within soldier systems and sustainment sectors.
• Create and oversee a pipeline that encompasses U.S., allied, and partner-nation programs.
• Act as Serket’s main contact with military clients, acquisition professionals, and international partners.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with prime contractors, integrators, textile/apparel collaborators, and in-country representatives.
• Represent Serket at industry events, user trials, demonstrations, military exercises, and select international gatherings.
• Lead opportunities from the identification phase to award.
• Assist in responses to Requests for Proposals, Requests for Quotations, and tenders from allied nations, including contributions to pricing strategies, win themes, and competitive positioning.
• Coordinate apparel fitting, wear trials, testing, and evaluations with military personnel.
• Support transactions carried out through direct commercial sales or government channels, as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with production and operations to ensure opportunities can be executed based on volume, timelines, and budgets.
• Provide customer feedback regarding materials, sizing systems, durability, and performance requirements to guide product roadmap decisions.
• Maintain precise forecasting, pipeline reports, and leadership briefings.
• Over 7 years of experience in business development or capture, specifically with U.S. DoD and/or allied military programs.
• Demonstrated success in securing program-level government or defense contracts, including IDIQs and multi-year contracts.
• In-depth understanding of federal and international defense acquisition processes (FAR/DFARS, NATO, coalition partners).
• Experience with military clothing, apparel, or soldier systems, including specifications, testing, sizing, and sustainment.
• Knowledge of textile supply chains and apparel manufacturing environments.
• Established connections within military, acquisition, and defense industry networks.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Previous military service or government acquisition experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%, including international travel.
