Business Development Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify and cultivate new sales opportunities for Gas Rights origination within municipal landfills, municipal wastewater treatment facilities, and key host site partners.

• Conduct market analysis to evaluate customer demand, competitive landscape, and emerging industry trends.

• Support and spearhead the creation of proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment of commercial strategies with company objectives.

• Monitor sales performance, customer interactions, and critical market insights.

• Create and maintain marketing materials for RNG product offerings.

• Assist with website updates, public relations initiatives, and external communications.

• Prepare materials for presentations to investors, clients, and stakeholders.

• Contribute to shareholder and internal reporting by providing relevant business insights.

• Stay informed about regulatory and policy changes that affect RNG markets.

• Engage in industry groups, coalitions, and policy forums.

• Support sustainability initiatives and programs that promote RNG and the adoption of green gas.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field.

• 10-15 years of experience in business development, project development, energy markets, sustainability, or a related field (experience in RNG is preferred).

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.

• Familiarity with M-RETS, RTC markets, gas nominations, or RNG logistics is advantageous.

• Analytical mindset paired with strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, cross-functional setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
