• Assist in tracking and organizing opportunities within our Business Development (BD) pipeline, which includes managing schedules, version control, and deadlines.
• Keep an eye on procurement platforms to help identify new and upcoming opportunities.
• Uphold our BD tracker, templates, and content library to enhance the efficiency and consistency of submissions.
• Arrange and coordinate meetings, timelines, and deliverables for proposal development.
• Aid in formatting, editing, and compiling proposals along with supporting documents.
• Perform research on agencies, competitors, or partners to improve our positioning.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams during fast-paced submissions.
• Archive previous proposals, refresh boilerplate content, and assist in creating case studies and impact narratives.
• Help in monitoring essential BD metrics (such as win rates and submission volumes) and produce reports to guide strategy.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of pertinent experience in business development coordination, project management, and/or consulting is required.
• A Master’s degree in Public Health or a related discipline.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-moving consulting environment.
• Proficiency in reading and assessing RFPs to gauge their relevance to the firm.
• Experience in maintaining project or proposal organization, ensuring consistent access to shared materials and updating CRMs.
• Exceptional attention to detail when reviewing proposal drafts to ensure compliance with RFPs.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail; capable of managing multiple deadlines concurrently; process-oriented; adaptable and comfortable with navigating uncertainty.
• Excellent communication and writing/editing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and proposal collaboration tools (such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, Zoho, etc.).
• A growth mindset and a proactive approach are essential.
• Alignment with BME’s shared values.
• Familiarity with public health or government procurement is advantageous.
• Experience with proposals, RFPs, grants, and/or contracting.
• Background in working with state and local governments.
