This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Business Development Associate is essential to Elligo’s expansion, focusing on generating new business and supporting our mission to accelerate clinical research.
• This position manages a portfolio of Pharmaceutical and Contract Research Organization (CRO) entities.
• Utilize initiative and creativity to identify promising prospects, generate outbound lead opportunities, and cultivate relationships with key contacts at pharmaceutical and CRO companies.
• Oversee, nurture, and transform study leads into study opportunities by following the Company's prospecting workflows and other outreach methods.
• Acquire proficiency in the clinical trial Study Lead (BD) process to effectively transition a “lead” into an “opportunity” throughout the sales cycle.
• Manage opportunities through their critical points to enhance the number of awards secured for our sites (“conversion”).
• Collaborate with the Account Management and Trial Placement teams to articulate what is necessary to effectively promote our sites to sponsors/CRO contacts on project-managed studies, aiming to secure site awards.
• Achieve personal business development targets and significantly contribute to monthly and quarterly business development study objectives.
• Engage daily with Salesforce for tracking business development and relationship management.
• Demonstrated experience in prospecting and managing opportunities through to closure.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly and persuasively conveying complex concepts.
• Ability to develop engaging presentations that address clients’ challenges to secure new business.
• Proactive and timely follow-up abilities: adept at organizing departmental timelines and responding to the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently to fulfill tasks while responding to departmental requests and collaborating with others to identify effective solutions.
• Adaptable to accommodate growth and changes in new programs.
• Proven history of driving revenue growth through lead generation.
• General and clinical knowledge of the Clinical Research/pharmaceutical sector.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or customer-facing roles is preferred.
