Business Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• In the role of Business Developer at Tandem, you will collaborate with a Junior Partner Manager to establish and nurture partnerships with educational institutions while enhancing our community.

• Ownership & Performance: You will take charge of and consistently meet monthly and quarterly partnership and growth objectives (such as the number of active partners and revenue). You will be fully accountable for results, overseeing everything from pipeline generation to signed partnerships, activation, and ongoing performance. You will closely monitor performance, identify gaps, and proactively modify strategies and execution to meet or exceed targets. Additionally, you will create scalable processes and playbooks to continually enhance efficiency and outcomes.

• Outreach & Partnerships: You will proactively seek out, prioritize, and secure partnerships with integration course providers, language schools, JobCenters, Studentenwerke, and university language centers. You will manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and outreach to pitching, negotiation, and closing. Furthermore, you will effectively communicate the value of Tandem across various channels (email, phone, in-person, and online meetings), with a strong emphasis on conversion.

• Relationship Management: You will maintain a high-quality, up-to-date pipeline of prospects and active partners in the CRM. As the primary contact for partners, you will focus on driving usage, retention, and expansion. You will regularly assess partner performance and identify opportunities to grow each account (more users, deeper integration, additional programs). You will also hold partners accountable when necessary to ensure mutual success.

• You are a communicative team player with excellent written and spoken English skills.

• You possess a background in sales, partnerships, or experience with non-profit organizations.

• You have experience with sales tools, project management, or CRM systems.

• You enjoy reaching out to people and are comfortable with both email and phone interactions.

• You have a friendly, outgoing personality and excel in building relationships.

• You bring strong intercultural communication skills and enjoy collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency in the German language is a plus.
