Business Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather, sanitize, organize, and analyze datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and potential business opportunities.

• Construct SQL queries to extract, filter, join, and analyze data from various databases.

• Create and sustain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

• Track business performance metrics and KPIs to pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation, calculations, and report preparation.

• Perform exploratory data analysis to reveal insights that support business decisions.

• Validate datasets, detect inconsistencies, and ensure the accuracy of data.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to comprehend business needs and analytical requirements.

• Convey findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Aid in automating regular reports and optimizing data analysis workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• 0–1 year of experience in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar analytical role.

• Solid understanding of data analysis, statistical principles, and data-driven decision-making.

• Proficiency in SQL for querying, filtering, joining, and analyzing datasets.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation and reporting tasks.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

• Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation purposes.

• Understanding of business metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance reporting practices.

• Acquainted with data cleaning, validation, and database fundamentals.

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to interpret data and articulate meaningful insights effectively.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
