This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Deliver operational, administrative, and HR assistance.
• Be part of a non-profit organization that operates across various states.
• Enhance the capacity of the business office team to facilitate expansion within a growing organization.
• Provide support for business operations, including accounts payable, processing employee expenses and reimbursements, and assisting staff with insurance documentation.
• Offer planning and logistical support for Guild events.
• Manage the processing of donations and membership payments, and generate reports for accountants.
• Provide daily administrative support and maintain communication across different regions and departments.
• Stay informed about state labor laws.
• Follow up with employees regarding any changes and update the Guild employees’ poster wall among other communication channels.
• Assist with orientation and onboarding for new employees, especially for seasonal crew members in the eastern states.
• Support Workers’ Compensation Audit processes.
• A degree or certificate in a related field such as business administration, non-profit management, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience collaborating across multiple departments, external vendors, and partners.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and administrative abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a background in supporting staff across various locations and departments.
• Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple and diverse projects simultaneously, adhering to varying deadlines.
• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn Microsoft products (Office/365, Asana, Neon, and other tools).
• A commitment to the mission of the Forest Stewards Guild.
• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.
