Business Controls Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide support for risk and control consultations regarding new, existing, and modified processes

• Ensure alignment between policies, program standards, work procedures, and external regulations

• Detect gaps and assist in driving corrective measures

• Identify and track operational and strategic risks along with relevant Key Risk Indicators

• Develop and implement controls and procedures to reduce risks

• Act as a liaison for both internal and external audit support requests

• Convert control deficiencies into actionable plans

• Contribute to governance practices that align with risk and compliance frameworks

• Conduct testing and/or reviews related to the 1LOD testing program

• Monitor and escalate unresolved issues and findings to the relevant stakeholders, including senior management

• Stay updated on regulatory policies, program standards, and work procedures

• Execute other assigned duties

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience

• Master's degree is preferred

• At least 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent

• Familiarity with policies, program standards, work procedures, external guidelines, regulatory policies, and risk and compliance frameworks

• Capability to identify and monitor operational and strategic risks along with associated Key Risk Indicators

• Skill in identifying and implementing controls and procedures to mitigate risks

• Ability to assist with internal and external audits

• Proficiency in translating control deficiencies into action plans

• Competence in conducting testing and/or reviews over the 1LOD testing program

• Capability to monitor and escalate open issues and findings to relevant stakeholders, including senior management
