Business Consultant – OT/IT Cybersecurity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Facilitate, collaborate on, or execute analyses of cybersecurity solutions.

• Engage in cybersecurity design and engineering initiatives for operational technology networks and SCADA/DMS systems tailored for clients in the electric power industry.

• Take part in or oversee technical field assessments, which include visits to data centers, control centers, and substations.

• Perform diagnostics, inventory of OT assets, architectural analyses, and reviews of communications networks.

• Create proposals for cybersecurity architecture, strategies for OT network segmentation, technology selections, and roadmaps for implementation.

• Generate technical deliverables and executive presentations, and convey them to both technical and management stakeholders of the client.

• Propel the transformation of client operations by framing challenges for resolution alongside project leadership and team members.

• Participate in projects that leverage your specific expertise while also engaging in broader consulting and problem-solving activities to support multidisciplinary teams.

• Travel as necessary to work on-site with clients to collect data and assist in coordinating actions.

• Work collaboratively with various organizational departments and multidisciplinary teams to address challenges across different sectors.

• Align automation and software solution requirements with business challenges while aiding technology teams in delivering effective solutions.

• Conduct structured interviews with technical teams, compile technical reports, and present findings to clients.

• Analyze and interpret engineering, construction, maintenance, reliability, and regulatory technical documents related to the electric power sector.

• Grasp the technical context and evaluate improvement initiatives concerning projects, services, systems, processes, and business frameworks.

• Engage with project stakeholders from technical, business, and management viewpoints.

• Collaborate with global teams to co-develop solutions for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

• An OT cybersecurity certification, ideally ISA/IEC 62443; alternative accepted certifications include GICSP, GRID, GCIP, or another recognized OT cybersecurity credential.

• Additional cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) are advantageous.

• Proficient in advanced written and spoken English, including the capacity to lead technical working meetings in English.

• Advanced written and spoken Spanish is preferred.

• Experience in OT cybersecurity.

• Consulting experience is beneficial.

• Professional background in IT transformation projects or the execution of digitalization initiatives.

• Familiarity with ISA/IEC 62443, NERC-CIP, and NIST SP 800-82.

• Understanding of OT/IT cybersecurity software.

• Knowledge of industrial network (OT) architectures, segmentation, cybersecurity technologies, and controls.

• Insight into supervisory and control systems (SCADA, DMS, OMS) and operations of the electric grid.

• Previous experience in OT cybersecurity within the electric power sector (distribution, transmission, or generation) is preferred.
