Business Central Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain applications and extensions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central utilizing the AL language.

• Create and implement Business Central extensions adhering to modern extension architecture and industry best practices.

• Tailor pages, reports, tables, code units, workflows, and APIs to meet specific needs.

• Integrate Business Central with external systems and Microsoft technologies, including Power Platform, Azure services, and Microsoft 365.

• Construct and manage REST APIs, web services, and data integration solutions.

• Engage in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders to transform business requirements into technical solutions.

• Diagnose, optimize, and resolve application issues and performance limitations.

• Assist with data migration efforts and system upgrades from legacy ERP platforms or prior versions of Dynamics.

• Generate reports and documents utilizing RDLC and Word layouts.

• Uphold technical documentation and development standards.

• Take part in code reviews and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Over 3 years of experience in developing solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV.

• Recent hands-on experience with Business Central and AL extensions.

• Strong expertise in the AL programming language and extension development.

• Experience with Business Central SaaS environments.

• Understanding of Business Central architecture, configuration, and deployment models.

• Familiarity with APIs, web services, JSON, XML, REST APIs, API pages/queries, OData V4, and OAuth 2.0/Microsoft Entra ID.

• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps source control methodologies.

• Knowledge of SQL Server and fundamental database concepts.

• Proficient in debugging, testing, and performance optimization.

• Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, AL Development, Visual Studio Code, RDLC Reports, APIs / REST Services, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Power Platform, Git, and Microsoft 365 integrations.

• MB-820 Business Central Developer Associate certification is preferred.

• Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 or Azure are preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
