This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Cultivate and maintain profitable business account relationships.
• Enhance profitability from both existing and new accounts.
• Identify potential business opportunities through a thorough understanding of clients, markets, products, and services.
• Deliver compelling sales presentations to both current and prospective clients.
• Articulate the advantages of the organization's products and services to align with client needs.
• Establish and sustain an effective referral network and outreach program to boost sales.
• Seek out new business and oversee opportunities through to closure.
• Manage pipeline activities and follow up on sales leads.
• Collaborate with internal teams to expand and retain the existing portfolio of customers.
• Utilize Salesforce or comparable CRM tools to track leads, activities, and sales performance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Seven to nine years or more of relevant professional experience.
• Willingness to travel (locally, regionally, and occasionally nationally).
• Previous experience in business card sales/payments.
• Strong sales skills and new business development capabilities, encompassing prospecting new logo opportunities, consultative discovery, and negotiating deals from strategy to closure.
• Experience working with mid-sized to large enterprises, including clients with over $10MM in annual revenue.
• Proficient in credit analysis and financial evaluation.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles related to financial transactions.
• Demonstrated success in developing and leveraging Centers of Influence (COIs).
• Ability to manage pipeline activities with diligent follow-up and execution.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payment products.
• General understanding of product marketing and organizational operations.
• Strong customer relationship management skills, including negotiation, decision-making, and innovative problem-solving.
• Capability to partner with internal teams to enhance and retain existing portfolio customers.
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
• Ability to adhere to U.S. Bank policies, procedures, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and workplace conduct and safety protocols.
• Applicants must meet applicable regulatory requirements for certain roles, including FINRA, NMLS, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, NFA, FCPA, Bank Secrecy Act, and SAFE Act criteria where applicable.
