This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Cultivate profitable business account relationships and enhance profitability from both existing and new accounts.
• Recognize business opportunities by leveraging knowledge of clients, markets, products, and services.
• Deliver sales presentations to current and potential clients.
• Educate clients on the advantages of the organization's products and services to fulfill their needs.
• Establish and sustain an effective referral network and calling program to boost sales.
• Seek new logo opportunities and guide deals from strategy to closure.
• Oversee pipeline activities with diligent follow-up and execution practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the growth and retention of existing portfolio customers.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Seven to nine years or more of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel (locally and regionally, with some national travel).
• Previous experience in business card sales/payments.
• Strong sales and new business development capabilities, with a proven track record of prospecting new logo opportunities, conducting inquisitive and consultative discovery, and driving deals from strategy to closure.
• Experience working with mid-sized to large businesses, including clients generating $10MM+ in annual revenue.
• Strong credit analysis and financial assessment abilities, with a grasp of basic accounting principles related to financial transactions.
• Proven success in developing and utilizing Centers of Influence (COIs) to create new business opportunities.
• Demonstrated capability to manage pipeline activities with robust follow-up and execution discipline.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payment products, along with a general understanding of product marketing and organizational operations.
• Exceptional customer relationship management skills, encompassing negotiation, decision-making, and creative problem-solving.
• Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams to foster growth and retention of existing portfolio customers.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools for managing leads, activities, and sales performance.
• Ability to adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies.
