This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Cultivate profitable business account relationships while enhancing profitability from both existing and new accounts.
• Identify business opportunities utilizing knowledge of clients, markets, products, and services.
• Deliver sales presentations to current and prospective clients.
• Educate clients about the advantages of using organizational products and services to fulfill their requirements.
• Establish and uphold an effective referral network and call program to stimulate sales.
• Seek out new logo opportunities and drive deals from strategy through to closure.
• Oversee pipeline activities with diligent follow-up and execution discipline.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance growth and retention of existing portfolio customers.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Seven to nine years or more of relevant industry experience.
• Willingness to travel (locally, regionally, and occasionally nationally).
• Prior experience in business card sales and payments.
• Strong sales and new business development skills, with a proven ability to prospect new logo opportunities, engage in consultative discovery, and drive deals from strategy through to closure.
• Experience working with mid-sized to large businesses, particularly clients with annual revenues exceeding $10 million.
• Robust credit analysis and financial assessment skills, along with a fundamental understanding of accounting principles related to financial transactions.
• Proven track record of developing and leveraging Centers of Influence (COIs) to create new business opportunities.
• Demonstrated capability to manage pipeline activities with strong follow-up and execution discipline.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payment products, complemented by a general understanding of product marketing and organizational operations.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills, including negotiation, decision-making, and creative problem-solving.
• Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams to grow and retain existing portfolio customers.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools for managing leads, activities, and sales performance.
• Ability to adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
