Business Analyst, Strong Testing Exposure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Lead the elicitation, clarification, and documentation of requirements to establish testable acceptance criteria.

• Create and maintain organized, clear testing artifacts including test cases, scenarios, feature files, and traceability documentation.

• Provide recommendations, resolve blockers, and ensure the team is prepared for execution.

• Collaborate with Test Analysts and automation engineers to synchronize manual and automated testing coverage.

• Engage in reviews where requirements and testing impacts are pertinent.

• Manage stakeholder relationships while keeping scope, risks, and dependencies transparent.

• Promote ongoing enhancement of BA/testing processes within a multi-team environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5–6+ years of experience in BA and/or software testing roles in the fintech or digital banking sector.

• Demonstrated hybrid capability in BA testing (either as a BA with strong testing skills or a tester with solid BA principles).

• Strong understanding of test design, Gherkin/feature files, and how automation frameworks utilize requirements.

• Comfortable working with pull requests and collaborating with engineers; familiarity with Git is advantageous.

• Experience in areas such as payments, accounts, or access control is highly beneficial.

• Self-motivated individual who introduces structure in execution-focused environments and is accountable for results.

• Exceptional communication and documentation skills: clear, concise, and suitable for client presentation.
