Business Analyst – Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Analytics team to create functional technical specifications.

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize their analytics and reporting requirements.

• Convert business needs into detailed user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.

• Maintain organized Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and backlog entries in line with Agile methodologies.

• Identify areas for process enhancement, automation, and data-informed decision-making.

• Conduct lightweight data analysis and exploratory validation utilizing SQL, Excel, or other analytical tools.

• Create quick, non-complex reporting solutions using Power BI, Excel, and SQL.

• Serve as a bridge between business users, data engineers, and developers.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a tech or data-driven setting.

• Proficient in Power BI, Excel, and SQL for data analysis and reporting tasks.

• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Experience working effectively within teams.
