This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather, document, and oversee comprehensive business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process examination.
• Convert business goals into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process diagrams for development teams.
• Evaluate current workflows and systems to pinpoint gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement.
• Work alongside engineering teams to refine requirements considering technical limitations, data factors, and system interdependencies.
• Collaborate with product managers to maintain and enhance the product backlog, ensuring stories are clearly defined and prioritized.
• Assist in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product release processes.
• Help validate delivered features against acceptance criteria and overall business objectives.
• Create, maintain, and manage epics, features, user stories, and defects within Azure DevOps.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the development team.
• Lead requirements reviews, walkthroughs, and sign-off meetings.
• Update the Director of Product Management on status, risks, and dependencies.
• Maintain version-controlled documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), process maps, and data flow diagrams.
• Monitor and report on backlog health, requirement completion, and unresolved open items.
• Contribute to product analytics by assisting in defining KPIs and analyzing usage data.
• Document data-related requirements, including source systems, data definitions, and reporting needs.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a business analyst or in a comparable role within a tech-driven organization.
• Strong capability to convert vague business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and active participation in sprint events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Frequent use of eyesight to read documents and monitor computer screens.
• Regular use of hearing and speech for communication via telephone and in-person interactions.
• Repetitive hand motions, including typing, writing, and using a 10-key pad.
• Capable of walking, bending, sitting, reaching, and stretching in various directions.
• Preferred: experience with AI.
• Preferred: background in product analytics, customer journey mapping, or UX research.
• Preferred: knowledge of or familiarity with the insurance or financial services sectors.
• Preferred: experience in writing SQL queries or handling data for analytical purposes.
• Preferred: foundational understanding of database server concepts, including tables, relationships, basic queries, and data validation.
• Preferred: experience in a DevOps setting, encompassing boards, backlogs, sprint planning, and reporting.
